ARE YOU TOO JUDGEMENTAL? WHY ARE YOU LOOKING FOR PERFECTION?

If you are perfect, raise your hands! No one should be raising their hand because flaws live in all of us. Although, we strive for it. We want what we want, and sometimes we want to be perfect, which makes us judgmental of ourselves and other people. We are a constantly evolving species, which means we are going to fuck up, go through struggles, and experience heartaches because it gets the wheels turning and our brains working. These experiences are a part of our evolution. Why seek perfection? There is no fun in it!

Have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately? Did you tell you, you love you today? Why are you judgemental when it comes to you? We seek perfection. Why? We want the perfect body because it allows us to get the attention we seek and boost our confidence. We enjoyed good hair because society looked upon black hair, sometimes coarse, kinky hair, as unattractive for a long time.

We want the American Dream, the house, the career, the white picket fence, the kids, and the dog because you made it. You achieve your goals, and you are successful.  Some parents have to work multiple jobs, leaving their children to fend for themselves, and will disregard their integrity all for the American Dream.

We want perfect grades if you are in school. However, we already know that half the stuff you learn in school is lies. The things we need to learn, they can’t teach. So, Sorry, not everybody will receive all A’s since you have to take the education you receive with a grain of salt.  I can go on and on about the things we want in search of the perfect life that we seek, but we seem to forget or don’t think enough about it that life is a stream of duality. You can have the good without the bad!

People will get plastic surgery to try to receive the perfect body, but it is all about the seduction, the sex appeal, and society’s standards on the beauty they felt they didn’t have before and now have.

Zhuangzi, a Chinese Daoist philosopher, states, “The effect of life in society is to complicate and confuse our existence, making us forget who we really are by causing us to become obsessed with what we are not.”

Why do you think there are so many addictive television shows and reality tv that is not reality? Society strives for one’s dissatisfaction with themselves, and it is how companies make their money.

We all need to check ourselves and ensure we are not being too judgmental or perfect? Because our past already shows us how detrimental people’s conviction and search for perfection can be. All of our pain and suffering is called sacrifice and its cost.

What is the opportunity cost of staying on the judgmental and perfectionist path? It will cost you to be stressed, burned out, and full of anxiety.

Instead, be the best person you can be. There is no reason to want or try to be someone else because you think they have a perfect life. Everybody’s experience is different, and you don’t walk in their shoes, so why assume they have that ideal life. They are just on another level than you, with many different issues. So be the best person you can be.

Find your confidence. Many problems derive from a lack of confidence, why you are still where you are in life, want that perfect life, and are the only person getting in the way of getting the life you want. Figure out what you want and the requirements you need to get it, and do what you have to do to get it.

Find yourself. Let’s figure out who you are, what you believe in, and your values, principles, and interest. Date yourself and other people. Learn to let things go if it is not working for you.

Love yourself. Don’t’ let anybody persuade you to believe you are not good enough. The day they make you think you’re not good enough, it is time to go because you are good enough. They were passing by and only meant to be with you for a season. You intend to help deliver some people to self-discovery, and for others, you were just a stepping stone on their path and a lesson for them to discover while you move on and leave them behind.

Don’t forget to live in the here and now. It is okay to forgive, but don’t forget. People have to show you they change and want things to work out as much as possible. So watch what they do, not what they say.

Be realistic and honest. Sometimes, when we strive for perfection, we are too judgemental of ourselves, allowing people to judge us. Let’s be honest. Sometimes people are just “assholes!” You have to be realistic with yourself. Do not have any yes, and people are you that will not be honest with you. Understand that sometimes the truth hurts, but it will lead you to real answers toward the path you need to walk.

Being judgmental and full of perfection is you living a façade. Why be fake when your flaws are the beautiful, ugly truth that will lead you back to you-It is the sky with the sun beaming down and the night with the stars shining bright.
