We all know that what makes you happy might not make me happy. For whatever reason, having a smile on your face allows you to think pleasant thoughts. You have a glow that radiates off you, and your energy is inviting. Sometimes all it takes to be happy is knowing you have a second chance to get it right.
We are in the want season! I want this, and I want that! It is not anything different than your wants on any other day. It’s just heightened to 100% right now because it’s the holiday season. We don’t see the value in the things we didn’t want.
Question: Do you think people need to be more mindful of everyone’s feelings and our own as we walk on our journey of self-discovery? Have you ever been all over the place, too worried about tomorrow? You’re so concerned about tomorrow that you cannot enjoy the little moments in your life each day. You are here, but you are not here.
Do you really want to pretend it didn’t happen? I would rather be that old couple you see on your walk, holding hands, do you wish for that? I love the commercial with the young woman walking up to her prom date, dancing to some oldie but goodie song, and then it flashes to the next scene, and they are asking Alexa to play their song, and they are still dancing together in their house to that same old song.
Nothing gets you thinking when somebody asks you questions like, “What do you love the most in life?” It seems like a tricky question because you understand and know that there are far worse people going through more situationships and troubles than you.
I wake up daily to care for my mother because of her previous lifestyle choices. She is now living with many health complications. It is what I witness every day, her struggling to get up to go to the bathroom. Her situation also serves as my motivation to try to be more healthy.
Have you ever just sat down and taken a moment and realized that you made some bad decisions because you are at a point in your life that’s not becoming of you, making you feel like you failed? Our overview of what’s happening is right in front of us, and it’s also what’s not. We should be taking a grand overview of the entire picture.
Sometimes don’t you wonder who made up the rules? There is a sense of right and wrong way of doing things. But what is right and what is wrong? What are your personal standards? If personal standards,
If could have a conversation with one of your ancestors, what would you say? One of my questions will be, “Do you have options?” and, then I will explain what I mean by options. Have you created enough opportunities for yourself that allow you to survive regardless of what goes on around you? This is the question I have to ask myself as I look around my home environment. Have I created enough options for myself and my family to use to their advantage down the line? Because life is already hard and full of politics with a slew of people with money on the brain 247, think about it!
They say sometimes “it takes a village,” even if you don’t think so because you define yourself as a loner, but the truth is there is purpose in everyone you meet. Someway or somehow, they are aiding you on your self-discovery journey. You are learning your tolerance level, likes, dislikes, wants, needs, strengths, and weaknesses as you interact and communicate with each other. So, don’t be mad when things don’t work out with certain people because their time in your life is over.
Forgive me! But sometimes that is hard to do because whoever said, “Stick and stones will break my bones, but words never harm me,” is not telling the truth. Words do hurt, and even unsaid words hurt. It hurts our egos and feelings and can damage relationships if you allow it.
