IT TAKES A VILLAGE: SO, LIVE, LEARN, AND LOVE!

They say sometimes “it takes a village,” even if you don’t think so because you define yourself as a loner, but the truth is there is purpose in everyone you meet. Someway or somehow, they are aiding you on your self-discovery journey. You are learning your tolerance level, likes, dislikes, wants, needs, strengths, and weaknesses as you interact and communicate with each other. So, don’t be mad when things don’t work out with certain people because their time in your life is over.

THE FIVE STEPS TO PATIENCE

Today! Today! Today! We want everything today. Has life taught us that we need everything now? Where is our patience? I am the type of person who thinks about the what if’s in life and stress myself out trying to prevent it. I worry too much. I know that I am a thinker and over-analyzer at times. It is difficult for my mind to relax.

IS IT SEX OR INTIMACY FOR YOU?

Do you really want to pretend it didn’t happen? I would rather be that old couple you see on your walk, holding hands, do you wish for that? I love the commercial with the young woman walking up to her prom date, dancing to some oldie but goodie song, and then it flashes to the next scene, and they are asking Alexa to play their song, and they are still dancing together in their house to that same old song.

ARE YOU TOO JUDGEMENTAL? WHY ARE YOU LOOKING FOR PERFECTION?

If you are perfect, raise your hands! No one should be raising their hand because flaws live in all of us. Although, we strive for it. We want what we want, and sometimes we want to be perfect, which makes us judgmental of ourselves and other people. We are a constantly evolving species, which means we are going to fuck up, go through struggles, and experience heartaches because it gets the wheels turning and our brains working.

POSSIBILITIES: DO YOU KNOW THERE IS MORE ROAD THAN ROADBLOCKS?

Have you ever asked yourself, what do you need to do to create more possibilities for yourself? Have you ever reviewed your morning routine? I had to review my morning routine recently to figure out how I am projecting positivity throughout the day. Why was I checking social media first thing in the morning instead of saying my positive affirmations? Changing some habits that you might be doing that is not adding anything to your life is the first step.
